Timber Creek Charities receives its funds from a variety of sources. A golf tournament each July is the single largest annual fundraiser for the charity. 2014 marked the 13th annual tournament, which in recent years has raised about $50,000.
In conjunction with the 2014 golf tournament, Timber Creek launched a new sponsorship program for companies and individuals. There are six levels of sponsorship available, ranging from $5,000 to $500. Each level includes a recognition sign at the golf tournament and a permanent plaque in the Timber Creek Ranch arena. The top two levels also cover some tournament entry fees. Tee box sponsorships also are available for $100.
Besides sponsorships, money is raised at the tournament through the sale of mulligans, a beat-the-pro contest, and a live auction following the awards banquet. More than 100 items are donated each year for the auction, which generally brings in about $20,000.
Other funds come to Timber Creek Charities throughout the year from foundation donations and grants, individual donations, memorial gifts, and fundraising events conducted by service organizations.
